Recycling label backing

The use of product labels is an important part of our production – for product identification. However, with every sticker label that is used, there is also a lot of waste from the label backing.

We use over 120,000 labels per year, which is equivalent to 265kg’s of waste. 

As part of our sustainability programme, we now collect all the backing labels, and send them back to Unimax (our label supplier). Unimax collect the waste to make tissue paper out of recycled materials.

Since February 2020, we have repurposed 0.5 tonne of sticker backing waste to produce recycled tissue paper.
