Chemical & Environmental Resistance Disclaimer for PPL Glazing Product
PPL’s Glazing Products are engineered to provide robust performance in a variety of environments. While our product is designed to resist certain chemicals and environmental factors, it is important to understand the following disclaimer regarding chemical and environmental resistance:
Varied Environmental Conditions
Our glazing product’s performance in different environmental conditions may vary. Factors such as temperature fluctuations, humidity levels, UV, exposure to chemicals, and atmospheric pollutants can impact the product’s performance over time.
Chemical Exposure
While our product may demonstrate resistance to certain chemicals commonly encountered in typical applications, it may not be impervious to all chemical substances. The degree of resistance can be influenced by factors such as chemical concentration, duration of exposure, and temperature.
Testing Standards
Our products are tested in accordance with the latest WGANZ industry standards for specification and performance. However, these tests may not replicate all applications and conditions that could affect the actual performance of the product so may differ based on specific application parameters. Care needs to be taken to specify and use the correct product and material for the correct application.
Compatibility Assessment
It is the responsibility of the user to assess the compatibility of our glazing product with the intended environment and chemical exposures. Compatibility testing should be conducted to ensure optimal performance and longevity if they differ from the PPL specification.
Limitation of Liability
PPL shall not be liable for any damages, losses, or liabilities arising from the use of our glazing product in environments with varying chemical or environmental conditions. This includes but is not limited to property damage, personal injury, or consequential damages. Please see our Terms and Conditions of Sale for more information.
Regular Care and Maintenance
We recommend that you inspect the product when it is installed and make sure it is clean and free of chemicals prior to the customers’ acceptance. We recommend cleaning the product every 3 months or more often if exposed to industrial, environmental, and coastal conditions. We recommend cleaning with a soft brush with warm water and some mild household detergent, rinse with fresh water. Do not use abrasive products, scouring pads/liquids, and aggressive solvents or thinners. These are likely to damage the product. Regular cleaning and maintenance of our glazing product are essential to preserving its performance and properties over time. Prompt cleaning and maintenance following exposure to chemicals or harsh environmental conditions can help mitigate potential damage.
Product Modification
Any modification or alteration of our glazing product, including the application of additional coatings or treatments, may affect its chemical and environmental resistance properties. Such modifications should be evaluated and tested for compatibility and effectiveness.
